Can the
https://github.com/jakartaee/faces/issues/1935 challenge be formally accepted and can WildFly get permission from the spec group to exclude the three relevant tests from our TCK run when running on SE 21? We'd run them on SE 11 and 17.
I just formally accepted the challenge and agree that the tests mentioned are troublesome for SE 17/21 compatibility. The fact they now fail is due to the Java SE format differences, which have nothing to do with what is actually tested.
As lead of the group I can give permission to exclude them.
We are about to release WildFly 33, and the three tests covered by this challenge are the only things preventing us being able to certify it as EE 10 Web Profile and Full Platform compatible when running on SE 21. I think our being able to do that is a good thing for the Jakarta community.
Yes, I agree. That is indeed good for the Jakarta Community, and specifically for Jakarta Faces as well.
