Re: [epp-dev] Respin without AERI?

Jonah,

Currently there is an R repo and there are R packages (actually RC, but named assuming it would be R).  If you a respin, we'll have an RC2a repo and RC2a packages.   We can still test both and decide later if we should go with the R version rather than the RC2 version should there prove to be any problems with the RC2 respin.

But I expect removing the bogus AERI stuff that is useless and only causes potential problems is a good idea and we should probably assume that we go forward with that unless some testing proves that to be problematic.  We still have a short runway on Monday to decide...

Regards,
Ed

Anyone have thoughts on this? In the absence of comment I will do the respin.

Whether we release the respin or not I am starting the build process which takes quite a while so that we are ready in case we want it. Therefore I merged the change.

Hi all,

See AERI bundle is causing trouble without providing any value: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=552193
It was suggested that we stop shipping it in EPP ( https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=561089 ), which I think is the right approach. I submitted https://git.eclipse.org/r/159295 .
Should we merge it ASAP and respin RC2 to get rid of this bundle and related bug?

Cheers,
