Re: [epp-dev] sign-off for alternative marketplaces

Hi Ian,

yes, sure, we will test the Yoxos marketplace with some of the packages and will send a sign-off to the list.

Thanks and regards, Markus

As we have previously discussed, the Marketplace Client allows for the inclusion of alternative marketplaces.   We have also decided that marketplaces from strategic members can be pre-packaged into the packages.  For a refresher here is the content inclusion policy for Marketplace.  http://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/marketplace-client-content-inclusion-policy

Yoxos from EclipseSource is the first alternative marketplace to be included in the Helios package.  I believe we need to have some from of sign-off from each marketplace provider before we go live.  The sign-off is saying they are ready and agreed to the 4 obligations in the policy, ie. 1) provide the url in accordance with the release train packaging schedule, 2) actively participating in the testing of the packages and provide sign-off , 3) fully implement the api and protocol defined by the MPC and 4) ensure their url is available on a 24/7 basis.

Since we are managing the inclusion of these marketplaces within the EPP, I think it makes sense to ask someone from EclipseSource to respond to this mailing list that they are in agreement with the obligations above and ready to be included.

Jochen and/or Markus does this sound okay to you?

Thanks
Ian
