Re: [epp-dev] EPP Sources

Hi Arnaud,

if I am not mistaken I've seen your request in another mail yesterday ;-)

1-       Can you tell me where to find EPP source for eclipse 3.5?

I assume that you are looking for the EPP Wizard. There is a project set file available and a description on this wiki page http://wiki.eclipse.org/EPP/Wizard/Demonstration_HowTo with a link to the PSF file.

2-       What changes are forecasted for Helios?

Regarding the EPP wizard there is currently not much activity planned. I assume that we will update it to make it work with Helios, but apart from that I don't expect that many feature changes.

3-       Is it simple to adapt with EPP wizard to be able to deliver my own product and features?

Yepp, that should be pretty simple. Everything you need to know should be available at http://wiki.eclipse.org/EPP/Wizard and its sub pages. If there are still open questions, don't hesitate to write a mail to this mailing list.

4-       How is organize the EPP repository? Is it a composite repository?

EPP uses different repositories (and we may change this a bit until the Helios release). Currently it uses its own repository to define the root IUs, especially the EPP wizard has its own repository (well, just a content.jar because it doesn't define any artifacts). The artifacts are taken from the release train repository and the Eclipse platform repository. But in the end it is up to you how to structure your own repositories, you just need a list of IUs to be installed and a list of artifact/metadata repositories.

Regards, Markus

Hello,

I am working in a team that develops a product which is an IDE for C/C++ development on Electronic Payment Terminal. We are developing plug-ins to work with Eclipse 3.5, CDT 6.0 and Mylin. We use PDE build to generate this product and I want to distribute it to my user community using p2 and EPP.

Actually I would like to customize the EPP wizard to distribute my own product ant its optional additional features to my community of users (via p2 installer)

If I understand well I have to create a composite repository with my product and its additional features.
