Re: [epp-dev] Galileo SR1 schedule

I am testing at least the SOA package on Cocoa 64 bit, but can also take over an additional package to test Cocoa 64.

Are there people on this list willing to test on Cocoa 64 bit?   I seemed to remember those that requested it said they would help test, so now is the time.  J

Hi package maintainers,

there are some things to do now and I'd like to get your feedback:

[1] Galileo SR1 is soon to be released, the planned date for the final release is Friday next week (25th). The packages are still building but should be available for testing soon as build 20090918-0704 from the usual place at http://www.eclipse.org/epp/download.php. Now I need your feedback if your package has the expected quality or not - and I'd like to get your feedback until Monday (21st). Note that my time to work on EPP is currently very limited and the sooner I get your feedback the better.

[2] Most wanted bug: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=281501 - 64 bit Cocoa EPP packages should be available. My personal opinion: I was against a release of the package for this additional platform *after* the Galileo release in June, but I would like to get them out now, i.e. together with the Galileo SR1 release. But first I'd like to check if one of you disagrees here.
To be more precise: I don't want to remove the 32-bit packages (at least not in Galileo) and I don't have any chance to test the new packages on 64-bit Cocoa which makes it a bit risky, hopefully not too risky.

Thanks and regards,
Markus
