Re: [ee4j-build] Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines

Hi Denis,

CentOS 7.x should be good for us(as the existing slaves are CentOS 7.x). We want to start with 4GB RAM and 50 GB disk(In dash we tried with 30GB but it failed). I would attach it to ci.eclipse.org/dash, so Canada or Eastern USA should be good. Please provision 4  such slaves. I would send you the public key in a separate email.

Please let me know if you want me to attach the slaves to dash instance? In that case, I need  to be jenkins administrator for dash.

Thanks,
Arindam

All,

As discussed on this morning's call, to satisfy the GlassFish project's
requirement for more machines, I've offered four Azure-based VMs.

As mentioned, we're currently full-swing into building a next-gen
CloudBees Jenkins farm, so I consider these resources as temporary. Our
goal is to support Glassfish builds (and tests) on the Eclipse CJE farm.

Azure has the following offerings:

RHEL 6.8,6.9,7.2,7.3,7.4,7.5 (images provided by Red Hat)

CoreOS Stable (provided by CoreOS)

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (provided by Canonical)

SLES 12 SP3 (provided by SuSE)

CentOS 7.x (provided by Rogue Wave Software)

Once you choose your platform, we'll need to know how much RAM and Disk
you need, as well as the preferred location. We typically allocate 4G
and 30G disk. If you're attaching these to our Infra, I suggest Canada
or Eastern USA.

Thanks,

Denis
