The release date for Java 9 (9/22/16) aligns well with what I figure
will be the release date for Neon.1.
Including Java 9 support with Neon.1 is, I believe, critical.
With this mind, I think that we should anticipate a need to be
flexible with the Neon.1 date to accommodate any changes in the
delivery date for Java 9. I expect that we will have enough lead
time to adjust appropriately.
Please let this note serve as a first crack at socializing the
notion.
