I am pleased to announce the launch of a new event called
the Eclipse PluginFest. The purpose of this event is to test
interoperability and compatibility between Eclipse-based products that support
the software development lifecycle for mobile and embedded development.
Eclipse PluginFest will be held in London, UK
on January 23-24, 2007. The two day event will feature testing labs between
vendors and end-user customers to ensure interoperability between tools. The
participants of the event will be the developers of their respective products
that can investigate and resolve the issues discovered during the
interoperability testing. The outcome will be a better understanding of
how the different Eclipse products create a tool chain for the embedded and
mobile software development lifecycle. Companies that are planning
to participate include ARM, LynuxWorks, Nokia, QNX Software Systems, Sony Ericsson,
Symbian Software and Wind River.
More details about the Eclipse PluginFest and registration
information can be found at http://www.eclipse.org/community/pluginfest/.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact myself
or Thibaut Rouffineau at Symbian (thibaut.rouffineau@xxxxxxxxxxx). Special
thanks to Symbian for sponsoring and hosting the Eclipse PluginFest at their
offices in London.
Thanks
Ian
