Hi all,
As we’ve discussed in the meeting on Sunday, I’ve asked the
Aura Restaurant in the hotel to reserve a table for 15 tomorrow
Tuesday at 8am.
For those who haven’t been there on Sunday, we’ve had a very good discussion including
-
Durable repositories for the release train, to support reproducible re-builds
o
Copying bits in the aggregator vs. “promote” functionality in CBI
o
Wayne wants to understand the ideal solution, then work backwards to what is realistic
-
AC driving the Eclipse Development Process
o
shall we reboot and start a more lightweight process from scratch?
o
What are the key elements of the development process ?
o
How to practically attack the task of revising the EDP ?
-
AC to publish about technical architecture eg “Top 10 Principles of Eclipse”
o
Publishing principles needs to be maintained – if they get stale it’s probably more harm than good
-
How to help projects that everybody uses but nobody contributes to? Eg PDE / OSGi tooling ?
o
Eg publish a list of “Top 10 helpwanted featueres” - how to make that community driven? Granularity of items should be bigger than bugzilla
Looking forward to meet many of you tomorrow morning !
PS: The buffet breakfast costs approx. 20 dollars, but I guess it is worth it
J
Thanks,
Martin

Subject: [eclipse.org-architecture-council] AC Breakfast on Tuesday @ 8 at EclipseCon
Hi all,
Since I just learned that we’re not going to get breakfast at the conference this year as per below,
I’ll be happy to get recommendations for a breakfast location in the vicinity (or at the hotel).
Please let me know where you’ve had a breakfast to recommend by Monday noon latest,
Then I’ll send out the location for Tuesday.
Thanks,
Martin
