Subject: [EXTERNAL] [eclipse-dev] Stepping Down from the PMC
Friends of Eclipse,
I've been contemplating my retirement from the Project Management
Committee (PMC) for some time now. Initially, my primary ambition for
joining the PMC was to foster an environment that welcomed new
contributors, emphasized code cleanups, and adopted industry standard
solutions within the Eclipse project.
I believe that the project team has successfully achieved these
objectives in the platform, Equinox, and PDE segments. At this
juncture, I feel that I no longer have significant contributions to
offer in the PMC.
The PMC already discussed and decided on a successor, and I'm sure
this person will bring in a lot of new ideas. The PMC lead Alex will
soon make this announcement. I still love the Eclipse project and its
community, and I will still remain a committer and project lead of the
platform and will help to foster the amazing Eclipse community.
Best regards, Lars
