I can't, but I think I remember the last time we talked about this Dani had some examples.

The possibilities are endless though, right? Product references, mirrors, blogs,...

This comes up in conversation every few years. Usually, the outcome is that we realize that the value of changing this isn't worth the confusion/cost.

I can understand that. But I think it all depends on what's part of the scope of the change. Here, my current proposal would be only to "relabel" the project from Eclipse to Eclipse SDK at the moment.
Later, once this is done, we can evaluate whether and where we can have symlinks, aliases or whatnot. But I don't think we need to have the project committing to it before doing a rename.
Really, for every person who is confused, there are thousands (millions?) who already know where to go to get the SDK.

The confusion isn't for users of Eclipse SDK or Eclipse IDE. The confusion is typically for projects like Vert.x or EE4J for which many of their users do ask "but are you working on others IDE than Eclipse". While the Eclipse TLP isn't responsible of this issue, keeping just "Eclipse" as the name of a TLP inside Eclipse Community doesn't help; whereas if there were "Eclipse SDK", "Eclipse IoT", "Eclipse Runtime", "Eclipse LocationTech"... side-by-side, it would make things a bit more consistent and hopefully remove a small piece of the confusion by making the SDK a TLP like any other.
I do fully agree that this change isn't made to be profitable for the Eclipse Platform/RCP/SDK in particular, but the community as a whole (so to me, this change should driven or even forced by EMO). I also understand that there is no reason to force some extra work on Eclipse project, and one of the goals of this discussion is to find out what's the very minimal change that can clarify branding with the very minimal amount of extra work for the Eclipse PMC (typically, something that would just require a vote and an edit on the project description page).
Think even of all the places where there are external links based on the current name, for example.

Can you please list such places and links? Maybe you have a link to the previous time that was discussed where such links were already mentioned?
If we keep the change minimal (typically just the public facing name, not even the technical one we see in LDAP), I hope the amount of such broken links would be close to zero. And I also hope that all remaining links could easily receive aliases or redirect if need be.
But once again, keeping the change as narrowly scoped as it can be would be a key factor of success as opposed to changing everything.
I can't say I'm completely against the idea, but someone would need to come up with a comprehensive plan for the transition and then convince me it was workable first.

Can someone from EMO help here? Can we simply "relabel" the project without changing any link and say we're done with this 1st iteration?_______________________________________________
