Béatrice,
Your question is more appropriate for
the newsgroups. That said, are you running your JUnit testcase from
the command line or with the PDE?
I have seen the error you posted if
the -application
command line parameter incorrectly specifies the PDE JUnit Plug-in Test's
org.eclipse.pde.junit.runtime.uitestapplication
startup application (code located here: http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.pde.junit/)
instead of the Eclipse Automated Testing plug-in's application org.eclipse.test.uitestapplication
(code located here: http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.test/).
If this is the case, the error occurs
because the PDE JUnit Plug-in is attempting to connect back to the development
environment to report results via a socket. When launched from a command
line there's nobody listening. Another possibility, if you're running
in the PDE environment, is that your firewall is blocking the connection
from your runtime instance to the development environment. You should
add a rule to allow it in this case.
