i'm using eclipse 2.1/motif under redhat 9 every day without major
problems. it works great. and the new threading support built into rh9
make the system more responsive - i'd like to say that now, everthing
works better under redhat than windows.
i'm using the beta version of suns jdk1.4.2 for devevelopment and
runtime.
