Frankly, I'm confused that the PMC has decided to approve this as there has, IMHO, been no tangible demonstration that the project team is doing anything to improve the situation.
I actually thought that I was throwing you a soft ball with the suggestion that you share the notes from the retrospective. I would certainly have regarded published meeting minutes with specific
steps and dates as a tangible demonstration of improvement.
So... I'm really trying to find a way to say yes. Here's the best that I can come up with:
The request to publish to Maven Central is for a different component. To the best of my knowledge the "LSP for COBOL" component that you're trying to deploy is decoupled from the HLASM Language Support that comes out of the repository that is offside (I couldn't find any content in the repository that connects the two). AFAICT, the LSP for COBOL component has consistently been developed under the open, transparent, and meritocratic process defined by the EDP, so I believe that the development of this particular content is onside.
Is my assessment that the LSP for COBOL is decoupled from the HLASM Language Support accurate? Or more specifically, is it correct for me to assume that the LSP for COBOL content that you're publishing does not include the HLSAM Language Support feature?
During the investigation that I undertook to make the above rationalisation, I discovered a couple of other issues that need to be addressed before we can proceed with the release. I've added some
additional comments on the progress review tracking issue.
