Re: [ecd-pmc] Committer election is now complete for Zachariah Mullen on Eclipse Che4z

Whether or not to remove the committer is the PMC's call.

There are four other elections currently in progress. I'm pulling the plug on two of them. The other two have less that ideal nomination statements, but I'll leave whether or not they are sufficient to the discretion of the PMC.

I'm writing a note to the project to make sure that they understand how this is supposed to work.

So I probably shouldn’t have approved that vote, understand, my bad. What should we do now? Is there a way to revert that and fix my mistake?

The short version is that you can't. Why would you want to?

Eclipse Che4z is an Eclipse Foundation open source project. That a private organization has decided that they have an owner for some related vendor product is irrelevant.

The path to becoming a committer is well defined.

Hey Wayne,

you are right, I understand. The description on the nomination describes the need to access and manage the GitHub issues for the project, so I can understand why there is a desire to grant him access rights for that activity. How would you deal with this? Do you have any advice for this situation?

Cheers
Martin
