Re: [ecd-pmc] [CQ 14376] Joint JS v 1.1.0

Hi Oliver,

We received quite a few requests on support JointJS in Eclipse Che [1], [2], [3].

We have worked on a sample extension [4] which show how that library can be integrated and leveraged in Che - but it is not used in the default Che

If you are interested to contribute it, I’m sure, having a similar sample extension with jsPlumb could be interesting for the community.

Cheers,

Stévan.

Hi,

in Eclipse Winery, we evaluated JointJS vs. jsPlumb. We made our
criteria open at

For us, they are quite similar. We really much like the "join points"
at JointJS. However, the integration into Angular was easier using
jsPlumb. Our BPMN-based Workflow-Modeler is written using Angular2 and
jsPlumb: https://github.com/eclipse/winery/tree/master/org.eclipse.winery.workflowmodeler

What were your decisions choosing JointJS over jsPlumb?

I would be very interested for which feature Eclipse Che will use JointJS.

Cheers,

Oliver
