Re: [ecd-pmc] Request assistance for Eclipse Dirigible

Hi Wayne,

Eclipse Dirigible does not implement any cryptography, but rely entirely on what is provided by the standard Java platform.

SAP* builds are preconfigured to be deployed directly on the SAP Cloud Platform Neo. It is easier to our customers to choose a specific link for download instead of to build it by their-own for the target Cloud Platform they use. Similar package we have with Docker [1].

Nedelcho

Hi Nedelcho.

Does Eclipse Dirigible implement any cryptography? Does it otherwise distribute any code that includes cryptography?

What are the "SAP All-In-One" and "SAP Runtime" builds?

Thanks,

Wayne

Dear ECD PMC,

Please, approve the release 3.0 of Eclipse Dirigible.

It is the first "all new" release since years. It contains only limited set of features of 2.x versions, but it is based on an entirely new technologies (CXF, Guice, V8, Angular, GoldenLayout, Bootstrap, etc.). Eclipse Dirigible is no more the "Web Eclipse" (i.e. based on OSGi, Equinox and RAP), but will focus on its major strengths - In–System Programming, Pre-integrated Runtime, RAD, etc.
