Re: [dtp-dev] WTP dbdefinition Incompatibilities
|
This is a major problem -- Rob, please enter a blocking bug, if you haven't
already. While WTP will perhaps adopt DTP someday in the future and this
problem will go away, clearly the answer for Callisto can't be "if WTP is
installed, DTP just doesn't work."
Suggestions on how to fix this, either the "right" way or a work-around
hack for the time being? Anyone?.

Hey all,
I've been doing some testing with the RC1 platform build with WTP installed
and am not able to see any objects in the DSE beneath the schema nodes
(testing with Derby 10.1). Preliminary analysis seems to indicate that the
WTP supplied dbdefinitions are being loaded instead of the DTP supplied
dbdefinitions. I believe this is being caused by the use of the EMF
uri_mapping extension point that is used to locate dbdefinition instances
by vendor name and version (both WTP and DTP are mapping the URIs for each
DB).
I'm currently investigating the problem as well as possible solutions. I'd
be glad to hear from anybody who might have any ideas on the problem (or
solution).
Thanks,
Rob
