[Dltk-dev] Re: Get Involved

Hi Piotr,

Thank you very much for expressing interest an willing to participate in DLTK development. Ideally we shall keep process open like following:

- You choose (we can help) a bug from Eclipse Bugzilla.
- You submit a patch to Eclipse Bugzilla, which will be reviewed and applied by one of current committers. This is the only and important way to submit patches at least for following reasons:
   a) Eclipse Foundation will track contribution as a part of legal process.
   b) With proven contribution records in Bugzilla you can be later proposed as a committer on the project.

As for your question on patches, there are no strict requirements, however please:
- Use default Eclipse formatter
- Tests are always welcome
- Follow existing package structure

If you have no idea about starting point at this moment, please share your area of interest (specific language, etc), so we'll prepare a bunch of issues where help is wanted.

Thank you again, and
Kind Regards,
Andrey

Subject: Get Involved

Hi,

I would like to get involved in DLTK. I would like to help you with fixing the defects. If you could send me info which defects can I fix, to whom I can send fixes, how the fixes should look like (junits, code, package structure).
