Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Hudson slave-1 stalled

Hi

While the Virgo and Gyrex build might be more fiendly with timeouts, I don't think that is the fundamental problem.

They seem to have reached their successful state after perhaps 25 minutes and then hang for about 5 hours and then seem to progress. Three seemed to finish almost at once, but two remained and two new slow Virgo jobs joined. This seems like natural progress rather than force majeur. The Hudson dashboard dates their success to the time of build success rather of job completion.

I'm not a primary releng so I only do occasional builds, but I've observed that Hudson has major synchronization issues. Sometimes CVS syncs very slowly, sometimes signing takes forver, sometimes copying artefacts is a delay. Perhaps the Virgo builds are waiting on a very slow Hudson service.

Something is definitely wrong with the Virgo builds. They all seem to have reached a "Build successful" status but after that, they just hang.

Hi

Hudson slave 1 seems stalled.

5 virgo jobs are currently shown as having been running for between 2 to 5 hours. gyrex similarly is the sixth. The next two are also virgo, which leaves 14 other jobs waiting.

Is Hudson stuck?

Is virgo not applying timeouts?
