Re: [cosmos-dev] Request to fix bug 215608 for i8

Hubert...

Thanks for catching this in the build.

Since this is not a stop ship finalizing the build should take priority.  If we find a stop ship issue, then we can include these changes as well.

Although it's tempting and convenient to change the zip, this end effect is that what was produced would need to be tested again as though it were a full build.

Let's document the required step on the download/setup page and make the best of it.

THANKS again.

[cosmos-dev] Request to fix bug 215608 for i8

Bug 215608 (
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=215608) is about packaging all required plugins with the COSMOS SDK.  I checked the SDK and found 1 missing plugin and 2 plugins that can be removed.  It may not be a stop-ship because the workaround is to download the missing plugin (derby) separately.  But this will affect user experience.

If we will have another candidate build, I will ask permission to make this change.

If we won't have another candidate build, I can make a manual change in the zip file of the candidate build to add/remove the dependency plugins.  Again, I need approval to do that.

PMC and project leads, please let me know how you like to handle this bug.

Thanks,
