[cosmos-dev] Reminder: Your input is needed - Criteria for QA for i9 (inclusive) onwards

Team,

We still have many open questions on the QA criteria.  It is key that we agree on this criteria and that Shivy has an opportunity to finalize the QA plan before we start i9.  If you have not already done so, review the wiki page and provide your input: http://wiki.eclipse.org/COSMOS_QA_Criteria.

Thanks,

Jimmy,

A few comments....

On the API issue, I think we should link to the Eclipse API guidelines--we want to be very clear that this is part of what is governing our coding practices.  On the cosmos development  process page, we talk about what it takes to exit an interation.  I think it would be good to tie that information in the section for the milestones.  I would like to see these same things apply for each iteration and not just 1.0.

Ali,

Thanks for your input on this issue.  This now lives in bugzilla as ER
214576 and has an associated page located at http://wiki.eclipse.org/COSMOS_QA_Criteria.  I basically turned the PPT I circulated earlier into this wiki page.  Please feel free to update this wiki page directly if you have further comments.

Shivvy,

Can you please update this wiki page to address Ali’s point in regard to system level test cases?

Thanks,

Jimmy Mohsin

Thanks Jimmy for putting together an exiting criteria.  I agree with all your points.

One suggestion:  I'm not sure how the system level test cases are currently captured.  We can use TPTP manual test suites to capture all test cases and generate reports based on their verdict.

Thanks,

Team,

Please review and provide input to the attached PPT.  The intent is to FIRMLY establish the criteria that Shivvy and team can use to establish the QA gates for COSMOS; starting with i9.

Thanks,

Jimmy Mohsin
