Re: [cosmos-dev] A thought about ics files on the Eclipse wiki

Jimmy,

I am fine with this idea.  Does anyone know how to convert a Lotus Notes meeting notice to .ics format?

Tania,

What do you think about posting links to .ics files (and other formats) on the respective meeting pages on the wiki in the “Meeting Information” section?  That way, we will not have to email out meeting notices every time a meeting changes; and the respective meeting page will become the single source of calendar info pertaining to a meeting.

Currently, the pages refer to the past COSMOS meetings fairly well; but they do not address the future meetings consistently.  Having an .ics file (and other formats) with the recurring meeting info will address this at least partially.

Here are some pages that could benefit from having the recurring calendar entry files:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/COSMOS_Architecture_Meetings
http://wiki.eclipse.org/COSMOS_data_collection
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Minutes_of_Community_Calls

Of course, more candidates could join, e.g. RE, Data Reporting, etc….

Thanks,
Jimmy Mohsin
