Hey Mark – yeah, I saw that one too.
I figured the re-factoring was just a precondition, and the bug you mentioned
is where the real work would happen. I’ll make sure our new rookie is at
the DC meeting so we can make some plans around 205436.
Cheers,
Joel

Management Enablement Annotations refactoring
Joel,
Did
you also notice
205436:
Reconcile & document the Muse programming model with the management
annotations
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=205436
As
we were digging through some of the annotations, there are a few areas where
it's not exactly lined up with the Muse model. Our goal is to have the
model be exactly the same regardless if you are using annotations or the
generated tooling. I think we are very close, but need to provide some
tangible guidelines, etc.... This might be another area where Dennis can
help.
Once
we get the tooling into cosmos, then we can look at potentially adding the
annotations as an option to the tooling. I think that would be very cool.

Balan,
I noticed that you’ve been assigned https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=205434 – the
bug to re-factor the management annotations code for inclusion in the
Management Enablement project. I’ve got a co-worker who’s coming up
to speed on that code (if you remember Dennis O’Flynn from your rookie
EclipseCon outing – perhaps the name “Pineapple Boy” rings a
bell?). We’d like to get him involved with COSMOS in this area. Perhaps
we could take a few minutes and discuss this during the next DC call. If
that’s OK with you, I’ll ask Don to add it to the agenda.
Cheers,
Joel
