Re: [che-dev] extInstall.sh gone in 3.9?

Hi,

Well, we track bugzilla and we have the same issues opened on our internal JIRA.
Sorry for not showing big activity there, will improve that but for the time it is quite difficult (as Tyler explained).

Please, keep making the issues on Eclipse, we do not have public JIRA.

Thanks

Hi Tyler,

thanks for the info! That’s actually a bit confusing because I understood Gennady’s reference to https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?list_id=11457800&product=Che&query_format=advanced on Apr 5 as a hint on using bugs.eclipse.org for submitting bugs and feature requests.

So what’s the desired process for the time being? Posting stuff here in che-dev and trusting you guys to tracking it internally in Jira? Or is there a public access to your Jira somewhere?

Thanks,

Christoph

Thanks for reporting this!

FYI - we do not track bugzilla.  If there are any issues filed there, we will not be notified or observing them.  We are waiting for Eclipse to implement a Jira - Bugzilla bridge so that we can export our sizable Jira issue database around Che.

It's manual right now, but we have to take all outsider requests and file them as internal issues.  We really need Eclipse to get the Jira bridge implemented so that we can get this info opened up.

OK, you can close https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=465597 then.

Sorry for being too impatient. ;-)

Hi Vitalii and all,

is this on the list for 3.9.x?

Still could not find extInstall.sh in neither master nor 3.9.x .

Shall I open a bugzilla?

Best,

Christoph

Hello, we will return it ASAP.

Hi guys,

What happened to extInstall.sh in 3.9 on the new che repo?

https://github.com/codenvy/che/blob/master/assembly-sdk/src/main/resources/tomcat/RUNNING_CheSDK.txt still describes in sect. 1.2 how to run ./extInstall.sh to digest external contributions but there is no extInstall.sh in the repo anymore, only https://github.com/codenvy/che/blob/master/assembly-sdk/src/main/resources/tomcat/extInstall.bat for DOS. In 3.8 it was still there: https://github.com/codenvy/sdk/blob/master/assembly-sdk/src/main/resources/tomcat/extInstall.sh

An accident during the migration?

Cheers,

Christoph
