[che-dev] Adding support for tomcat8

Hi,

We at SAP would like to add support for tomcat 8.

In version 7 Tomcat provided a WebSocket API , this API has been deprecated in Tomcat 7 and will be removed in Tomcat 8.

 

Following : https://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-7.0-doc/web-socket-howto.html#Deprecated_proprietary_API , the code should be updated , so that Che will be able to run on Tomcat 8,

 

Is anyone planning on doing this ?
