Re: [che-dev] Eclipse Che meeting summary

Forgot to mention Tyler's notes:

  • Working on bringing in additional vendors to contribute to Che. Worked with one large vendor which is in investigation mode.  They had a few requests that we need to design for including
    1. Meta projects that are composed of sub-projects
    2. Ability to change project configuration based upon environmental type such as dev / staging
    3. Desire to have launchable Che embedded inside of another server
    4. The ability to map a single project to multiple targets with various types of updates that occur for different lifecycle events
    5. Machine API
    6. Orion - Che API mapping to enable Orion clients working against a Che backend.
  • Met with two vendors this week, both exhibited concerns about Che being single server and not scalable.  There were requests for open sourcing additional parts of Codenvy and injecting into Che project.

With regards,
Dmitry
