I agree, we should also push to Maven Central but I would still like to get Matthias opnion regarding this as well. In particular because we are in the middle of the release review process ...
I think pushing to maven central is kind of mandatory since californium was always available on maven central and our users probably expect to find it here.

Hi everybody,
I finally have managed to configure our release build jobs on our HIPP instance to successfully build and deploy Californium releases to Eclipse Release Repo and the Maven Central staging repo :-)
You can find the RC2 artifacts on Eclipse Releases [1]
@Matthias: Do you see any problems with also putting RC2 up on Maven Central? All I would need to do is relese the staging repos on oss.sonatype.org containing the artifacts ...
