Hi Doug, 

I've managed to get it building, thanks for including the build.properites
files. If you are interested in how I did it, I've posted the spec file:

I personally don't like this build method because it is shoe horned into the
releng build method (which could change and require me to go through this mess
again). I'm going to investigate the releng process a little to see if there is
a way to make enhancements to solve this problem. I am closing this bug because
I think it should be filed against the releng plugin(s).
