This is definitely not a launch thing since you can't even get the CDT running 
enought to launch C/C++ apps. :-)

One thing to try is to install into a fresh eclipse install, i.e. unzip the two 
zips before starting up the new eclipse. Also check the .log file in 
the .metadata folder in the workspace and look for anything suspicious.
