Now that I've updated to the latest master, I see now we've started the dependency on org.eclipse.remote.core. Uh, where is it so I can add it to the target file.

Hey gang, I've created a cdt-e4.4.target file in our targets project. I've updated the eclipse and releases repos to Luna/Eclipse 4.4. I didn't touch the other ones, but we should be pulling what we can out of the releases/luna repo. Please give it a try.
