[cdt-dev] breaking compatibility with Platform 3.7 in M1?

Hi All,
I already have a feature where I need to add a new interface in Debug 
Platform to consume in CDT.  I can add the new API in Platform 3.8M1, 
but this will mean that CDT won't build against platform 3.7 anymore.  I 
don't think there's any strict requirement on this compatibility, but In 
the past we've held off until fall or winter before making such 
changes.  Opinions?
