The proper process for getting contributions into eclipse I believe is documented on the CDT wiki and elsewhere on eclipse.org. To summarize, you need to create a bugzilla entry and attach the contribution there. Then a committer creates an IP review request pointing at it. The Eclipse lawyers perform the review and if accepted, the committer can then check it in.

Now, unfortunately the deadline for Indigo has passed. We can still put in the request but there are no guarantees that it'll be reviewed in time for CDT 8. But we can give it a shot.
