Yes, that would be a true statement. Given
my current workload, there was no way I was going to get any indexer
improvements until the June timeframe anyway.
But, if you are O.K. with using ctags for
indexing, then CDT 3.0.x already provides a lot of improvement. Searching for
references doesn’t work, and if you use a lot of macros you’ll lose
a lot of information. But it does work for a lot of cases and is very fast.

How does that sit with
everyone, especially those with product plans for the CDT next year? That would
really mean that we couldn’t do anything significant for a Feb CDT
release making it a 3.0.2.

So this would mean things like the indexer improvements would be in a release
tied to Eclipse 3.2? I’m not saying that wouldn’t be OK, just
trying to understand the impact.
