RE: [cdt-dev] Proposal for Release Schedules

Title: Re: [cdt-dev] Proposal for Release Schedules

Yes, that would be a true statement. Given my current workload, there was no way I was going to get any indexer improvements until the June timeframe anyway.

But, if you are O.K. with using ctags for indexing, then CDT 3.0.x already provides a lot of improvement. Searching for references doesn’t work, and if you use a lot of macros you’ll lose a lot of information. But it does work for a lot of cases and is very fast.

Good question,

Cheers,

Doug

How does that sit with everyone, especially those with product plans for the CDT next year? That would really mean that we couldn’t do anything significant for a Feb CDT release making it a 3.0.2.

Doug,

So this would mean things like the indexer improvements would be in a release tied to Eclipse 3.2? I’m not saying that wouldn’t be OK, just trying to understand the impact.

Thanks – Ken
