Re: [cdt-dev] vanishing CDT? (Mac OS X)

I'm not sure if it's quite the same-- my project still shows in my workspace; the current working set is still selected and displayed in the navigator, etc. But every trace of the CDT itself seems to have vanished-- there is no editor availabe for .cpp files; there is no C/C++ Projects view, no C-Build view, nothing. I downloaded and reinstalled the CDT, but I still can't get Eclipse to recognize it. I'm downloading Eclipse 3.0M6 now, and I'm hoping to try the 2.0M6 build of the CDT.

Timothy,

I've reproduced this several times on Windows 2000. I've logged a bug

I do not think this is quite the same. Some comments about 50495:
- it is the wrong category, the "launcher" category is for launching
  C/C++ application.
- Probably, recategorize and reassign to Doug for example, the owner of this
  category did probably notice it.

I've seen what Timothy describe particularly on GNU/Linux platform,
For some reason the .metadata got corrupted and it is like all the
projects disappear. The Platform folks got a tool
	org.eclipse.core.tools.restorer

That you have to run to get back your workspace. ... Sometimes it works
many time it does not.
