Is it possible that this machine is behind a firewall? Selwa, can you try installing a different eclipse product on this machine, say something like EGit? If that fails, then the fault is with the network connection I think...

This is weird. Nothing in your log seems to indicate a problem with the BPEL Designer installation.
I have to think about that...

Can you make a test with a more recent build? [0]
If it still does not work, can you take a look at the error log (Window > Show View > Error Log)?
