Thanks Cheng-Yee for trying it out.  It turns out that the cvs commit 
messages are not archived according to this comment: 
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=87046#c18

But the list itself is a valid list where cvs checkin notifications go.
