New Committer

The following new committer has been proposed and recommended to the BIRT PMC by the BIRT project teams. Following the process laid out in the BIRT project charter, the development team has asked for a vote from the existing committers on the nomination and have received at least 3 positive votes and no negative votes. The individual has already been active in the BIRT project community. The nomination is:

Houqiang Yan: Houqiang has been active in the BIRT community helping to test, analyze and solve some performance related issues. Also, he has been using BIRT for a long time and has reported a number of significant issues to the community.

The PMC unanimously approves the new Committer for the project. Welcome on board!

InetSoft Contribution

As noted in last week's PMC meeting, InetSoft is working on contributing to the BIRT project. At this stage, InetSoft have added a proposal to the Bugzilla entry for output to MS Word (see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=101502). The community is encouraged to add comments to this. Mike Fox from the PMC has already added a comment.
