I volunteered to be a committer, I needed to do some learning first and got lost in that.
I will take a look and make sure it gets back on track for 2022-12 release.

Status update: The project tragically lost its project lead last February. I've been assuming the role in the interim, but I have zero time to dedicate to the project.
I've recruited two committers (see the Babel mailing list archives) but unfortunately, they don't seem to have more time than I do.
At this time, the project is inactive.
