Just for future reference so we'd keep
in mind when we schedule meetings, where are you located?

Hi Denis, all,
thanks everyone for your kind words, I'm looking forward
to working with you all.
The guidelines look very good to me, thanks for taking
the time to write them down.
I should have no problems participating to the Babel calls.
I work for Intalio Inc, an Eclipse member that proposes
a unique product to execute business processes.
I am working on the Intalio|Designer product and I have
an extensive experience working with Eclipse and build systems.
When we needed to translate our product, we opted for
Babel with the confidence that it was backed by the Eclipse ecosystem.
So we have our own Babel instance.
Ideally, my goals as a Babel committer are to accomplish
those tasks:
-building an administration page to manage the lifecycle
of release trains, the users, the languages available, etc.
-making it easy for people to build their babel instance.
-create and help sustaining a strong community of Babel
translators.
Thanks,
Antoine

Antoine,
Welcome to the Babel project as a Committer!
As you are already an Eclipse committer on other projects, I'm sure you're
familiar with the Eclipse development process and all the "obligations"
you have as a committer.
At Babel, our development process is quite lightweight. The thing
that's the most important is to only commit completed code, as it is deployed
immediately to the staging server. Personally, I like to submit patches
to bugs before committing, so that everyone else can see what I've done
-- like a peer review.
I've just written down the process that Gabe, Kit and I have been following,
and it has been working quite well so far:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Babel_/_Server_Tool_Development_Process#Committer_Development_Process
Babel holds weekly calls every Monday. Please join us if you're available.
http://www.eclipse.org/babel/development/calls/
The EMO still needs to process some paperwork for your committership, and
your actual Babel commit rights will be added to your Eclipse committer
account shortly. The webmaster will be confirming all that when it's done.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask!
Denis
