[aspectj-announce] AspectJ 5 RC1 now available

We're pleased to announce the availability of the first AspectJ 5
release candidate
build from the AspectJ downloads page (AspectJ 5 RC1):

RC1 contains a large number of fixes (and some minor enhancements)
since the M5 release (see the links in the news item on the aspectj
home page :
http://www.eclipse.org/aspectj).

We especially value your assistance in helping to make the AspectJ 5
release as good as it possibly can be. Even if you are currently
running on M5, and especially if you are not, please try out the RC1
compiler on your projects and let us know if you run into any issues.
This is your last chance to make sure that AspectJ 5 works as expected
in your own projects!

A build of AJDT incorporating AspectJ 5 RC1 will be available imminently.

Thanks to the many, many people who have helped us to get this far -
we will put together a roll-of-honour when AspectJ 5 goes final.
