[ajdt-dev] Help system check-ins

Before I check in the changes we talked about on today's call, I want to
run a couple of ideas by you guys:

1. For the AspectJ Programming Guide, we discussed adding a line at the top
to link to the most current version of the document. That link will be:
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/indextech.cgi/~checkout~/aspectj-home/doc/progguide/index.htm

a) Are we okay with such a link (grabbing it out of the AspectJ tree)?

b) If so, then why not scrap the Programming Guide TOC, and just put a link
to this latest document? The only nicety we gained by having our own TOC
form of this was to be able to expand the topics in the left nav. Now that
we're facing issues of being out of sync, I think it's better just to link
to the top level, current doc, and use "next", "prev" and "home" to
navigate (yes, I'm suggesting throwing away all my hard work! :-). If we
ever get an ant task in place to do a conversion of the XML to our TOC
format, we can revert to today's method. Also, if we go with the plan to
link to the "current" one from the top of the doc, it gets confusing. If
you click that link, the right-hand page gives you the top-level of the
current stuff, but links in the left nav still point to the old document.

2. For the FAQ, if links of the style of 1 are okay, then I'll just point
to the FAQ that's already sitting in the AJDT CVS tree, instead of putting
a copy into the "plugin" project. That way, Adrian, you can just update it
in one place.

3. FYI, the PDF stuff looks fine.
