When tomcat starts and birt webapp context is launched a folder called "JNDI:" is created. The JNDI: folder contains subfolders, ant these subfolders have more subfolders but all of them are empty.
All works fine, but I don't know why JNDI: folder is created. It seems that is rubish.

How can I disable it and avoid it's generation?

It's being created at current path. For example, if I start tomcat in /home/test, it is created there.
Now we're working with Birt 4.2 but birt 3.7 creates it too.

Do you have a JNDI properties file deployed with the viewer?

I don't think so. Only the viewer.properties

And the other properties files are for languages suport.
The database connection properties file only configure database connection, like url, user and password.

I do not think the JDBC driver for BIRT creates a JNDI directory. You could add a bugzilla entry and have the dev team verify this though.
