Text/cell alignment [message #88937] Tue, 08 November 2005 21:41 Go to next message

Hi All;
REALLY simple but frustrating problem. I select individual cells, entire
rows, entire columns and make text aligned to the right. The "layout" view
shows the changes regardless of where I make them, but no matter what I
do, I can't get "preview" or actual report run thru the viewer to align
right (all cells stay left-aligned). Driving me crazy and I assume I'm
overlooking something stupid. Would welcome a slap upside the head... btw,
am using BIRT 1.0.1

Thanks!

Check the alignment at the element level. For example, select the text or
data element that displays the text. The text alignment set at the element
level supercedes alignment set at the cell or row level.

Never mind - for some reason my changes were not being saved... When I
closed and re-opened the designer, none of my changes were there. I
re-applied, saved the design and all was well.
