Console colors [message #85292] Mon, 11 July 2005 02:40 Go to next message

Hello again,

Ok... I installed the MyEclipseIDE plug-in within Eclipse 3.1 on OS X
Tiger, and it rocks! I was fooling around with the syntax colors of the
JSP, HTML, CSS, and XML editors, and what I did was make the background
color black and the foreground white. Now, everything works, but the
problem is, the console's background is white, and the foreground is white!

Therefore, I can not see any output in the console!

I looked all over the preferences and I know that I am overlooking
something... Is there a way to possibly change the console's colors? And
if so, where can I? I know there must be a way, because, yesterday (before
I installed the MyEclipseIDE plug-in and started playing around with the
default colors) the console's background was white and foreground was
black.

I know that http://www.eclipse.org has nothing to do with MyEclipseIDE, I
just figured that this might be a simple problem with a configuration
setting somewhere in my preferences that someone would know how to fix.

Any tips, suggestions, and comments, are greatly appreciated and needed! I
also would appreciate it if someone could e-mail me the recommended
solution, directly to untz@hotmail.com.

Keep on coding and thanks,

I don't know why MyEclipse's editor color settings would affect the
Console view - are you sure that is what you're seeing? If you select
text int he console do you see it then? Is that how you're confirming
that there really is white text in the Console?
In Eclipse 3.1, the Console colors are configurable under Preferences >
Run/Debug > Console
