Hello,

within the chart builder under Attributes there is a button: 'Extended
properties'
If I click on it I can add pairs of keys - values.

What is this for?

Where can I use those keys - values?

Thanks for help!

Hi,

The 'Extended Properties' is a collection of name-value pairs that are
stored with the chart model.
It is intended for application integrators and extension writers to
provide flags or controller properties that could be set by end-users in
the builder.
This could be used, for xample, by someone who has modified the bar
series renderer to provide end-users with a way to specify the shape of
the risers...without writing a whole UI extension for it.
This can also be used to set context-specific properties. E.g. If a
chart is used in a context where multiple output types are
possible...GIF, PNG, JPG etc. This property could be used to specify the
output type to use.
The main thing here is that these properties are intended for use with
a corresponding extension or change in the chart engine. In the default
builder, these properties are not linked to anything.

Thanks,
Milind
