content assist stopped working [message #76938] Thu, 17 July 2003 07:21 Go to next message

I am using 2.1.0. All of a sudden, my content assist (ctrl-space) stopped
working.

In Window/Preferences/Workbench/Keys/ Edit/Content Assist, it is still set
to ctrl-space for Standard, and Standard is my active configuration.

I have eclipse installed on another computer with a similar config (I
actually cloned this eclipse dir from that PC), and content assist still
works on that PC.

What else can I try to turn content assist back on?

Thanks,
Chad

Did it stop working directly after cloning?

No, it worked fine for a few months, and just stopped recently. About the
same time, I did install JDK 1.4, and start working on some JDK 1.4
projects in Eclipse. Could that be related?

Thanks,
Chad

Did you recompile Eclipse source using a 1.4 VM?

No, I didn't recompile eclipse at all. I am using the standard win32
2.1.0 distribution.

I am just using the 4.1 JVM for some of my projects within eclipse.
