I am using Eclipse 3.6.2 with the DLTK plugin and I've made the following changes, in order to replace tabs with spaces:
Window > Preferences > Tcl > Editor Tab Policy Spaces only
Now it seems that I cannot use the tab key at the beginning of a line. Althouth the file appears to be changed(the "*" character appears next to the file name) no characters are written on that line. I've noticed that the tab works as expected if I write one ormore characters different than the space character after that press tab.
I've also tried to set up Editor Tab Policy to be Mixed, and set the Preferences > General > Text Editors > Insert spaces for tabs but the editor has the same behavior.
Is there a workaround to this issue ?
