URI Expression for Image [message #76337] Wed, 21 September 2005 21:45 Go to next message

I am having trouble getting an image from a URL in my reports. I see this
is a FAQ in the uncategorized section, but the answer doesn't spell it out
well enough for me I guess.

Can anyone give me an example of an actual expression that will work for
putting an image in a report from a URL? Whatever I put in there either
gives me a "failed to evaluate" error or just nothing shows up at all. This
is despite the fact that the preview window where I set the URI displays the
image, as does the template in Eclipse.

Thanks in advance,

Floor

Since the URI is an expression, not a String, I tried making a report
parameter called myCompanyLogo, giving it a default value of the URL to my
image, then setting the image URI to be params["myCompanyLogo"]. I thought
I had an expression that would've worked, but the image still doesn't show
up on the report.

floor,

Have you tried using a local file and then c\testdir\pic.jpg?

I cut my image out of the Simple Master Page Header and pasted it into the
Body page and it shows up fine now. It looks like, at least for me, images
in the Simple Master Page don't work but they do in the Body. If I paste it
back into the Master Page it doesn't show up again.
