Currently there's no real developer documentation for the VE... up to
this point it's been pretty much considered all internal API. Opening
up the VE API and providing developer documentation is one of the major
goals of the next release - see the Project Plan for the 1.1 release
here:

That being said, other projects have sucessfully extended the VE already
- including the ULC Visual Editor and the AUIML VisualBuilder. The VE
developers of VE will be happy to help out with any specific questions
you have about the VE's functionality or code, either here on the
newsgroup or on the VE-dev mailing list.
